About me

Photography is my passion. I’ve been fascinated by photography as long as I can remember. At the age of 12 (in 1988), I got the chance to learn many things about photography, especially black & white photography, at school. I’ve been given the opportunity to use a fully equipped photo lab there. Unfortunately, I could use it for four years only, but I learned a lot about the basics there, about how to shoot photos, to develop the films and to apply effects in the darkroom (without Photoshop :-) ).

Now, I’m an IT engineer, keeping the internet up and running (well, at least a small part of it ;-) ), but I still love photography and the technology behind it just as much as I used to back at school. Of course, I’m using a digital SLR and computer technology to develop the images today.

About what I’m photographing

All I get in front of the lens.
I especially like all kinds of scapes (landscape, waterscape, cityscape…), architecture, nature, animals and so on. I love to use filters or advanced technologies like pano stitching or HDR. Of course I’m still a photographer not a painter or digital artist, so I’m very cautious when retouching. I love people/portrait/studio photography too, but I’m too shy to do it myself.

Milestones
